Jenny Anania

Jenny Anania
Owner of Secret Physique® and class instructor Jenny Anania, grew up dancing with her 2 older sisters and later moved on to competitive dancing. She danced at college and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Business. Jenny then became a New England Patriots Cheerleader and had the honor of cheering on the sidelines at Superbowl XXXVI. She then began her modeling and fitness path while appearing in calendars and catalogs while cheering for the Patriots.

Jenny decided to move to Los Angeles to further her career in dance and enjoy the Hollywood lifestyle. She soon joined the Purrfect Angelz, an LA based performance dance group, which gave her the opportunity to travel all over the country performing for many different venues and events including: trade shows, sporting events, music videos, music award shows, commercials and charitable functions. Jenny was also one of the managers of the world famous Viper Room, on Sunset Blvd for the four years she lived in LA.

Her passion for fitness led her to become a fitness model and appear in magazines and workout videos such as Crunch Fitness, Men's Health Magazine, Fit Tv's All Star Workouts, Body by Jake, and The Firm. Also while in LA, Jenny discovered "barre", also known as the Lotte Berk Method, which many celebrities, and aspiring actors and actresses were using to slim down and tone up. The technique combined ballet, Pilates and yoga, and would totally reshape their bodies, creating a sleek, dancer's body. She was amazed at the results, and fell in love with this unique workout that she found to be different than any other. It was a perfect mix of fitness and dance.

Jenny then moved home to be closer to her family, and share this method she found by opening Secret Physique®. After opening her first studio in 2008, she was chosen as a lululemon athletica ambassador and has enjoyed taking part in their community events, and sharing their manifesto with others. The business name "Secret" comes from the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, where putting your mind to believing that thoughts become things, and you can reach any goal you set your mind to! She opened her 2nd studio in Quincy in October 2011, and her 3rd studio in Hingham in November 2012, and there are more studios in the future for Secret Physique®.  Jenny is also POUND-Rockout. Workout.™ Certified.

When her sister, Jenny, moved home from LA and introduced her to "barre", Kerry was immediately hooked. She even noticed enhanced strength and flexibility during her yoga practice. Kerry is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn, and now teach this method.

Chrissy Landry

Chrissy Landry

Chrissy lives a healthy, well-balanced, and goal-driven lifestyle. At the early age of 3, she discovered her passion for dancing. Growing up in Norwell, MA, Chrissy dedicated her life to both her education and classical ballet training. After graduating from high school, her commitment to ballet resulted in a position as a Corps de Ballet dancer for the Boston Ballet. Chrissy danced with enthusiasm and performed in numerous productions including Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, Giselle, and The Nutcracker.

After multiple stress fractures in her feet and two ankle surgeries, Chrissy decided to hang up her pointe shoes and complete her Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Chrissy's hard work led her into the corporate world where she worked for 7 years. Throughout those years, she tried several forms of exercise, whether it was working out in a gym, spinning, running, but nothing provided her with the mind-body connection she had thrived on while dancing.

After hearing about Secret Physique®, Chrissy immediately fell in love with this intense, dynamic workout. She especially likes how the exercises maintain her dancer-like body, which are non-impact, perfect for her previous ballet injuries. Chrissy instructed and took barre classes throughout her pregnancy with her twin boys. She can now testify how effective this method is for maintaining and getting your body back in record time after pregnancy.  Her support of Secret Physique is so strong that she decided to leave the corporate world and dedicate her life to her health and of others as an instructor. Certified Secret Physique® Trainer since 2009

Julie Dion
Julie is originally from Fairfield County, Connecticut where she was active as a child, participating in a variety of sports until finally finding her love in cheerleading. She eagerly made the move to Boston after high school to start college at Northeastern University to study nursing. While attending the university, she turned to fitness as a stress reliever and quickly found a passion for running. Julie loved having the mind/body connection and peace of mind that came with running. It was her way of taking a break, to get away from her demanding course load, and to unwind and refocus. In her remaining two years of studies, she was able to get back to her love of cheerleading and become a Huskies cheerleader for the ice hockey team.

After her graduation, she landed a full time nursing position at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She found her love of barre just prior to moving down to the South Shore. She had torn her ACL while snowboarding, and started Ballet in Boston as a form of strengthening and recovery. She fell in love with the results. In trying to find something similar in her new location, she stumbled upon Secret Physique. It was the perfect combination of a high intensity/low impact workout that she was looking to add to her routine – she was hooked immediately!
