Our Story

Secret Physique Barre Studio first opened in 2008 in Hanover, MA, being the first "barre" studio in Massachusetts.  The business name came from the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, who's philosophy is based on thoughts become things.  Secret Physique has enjoyed sharing the concept with the staff, and clients.

After the first year of introducing "barre" to the South Shore, the Hanover space was out grown.  They relocated to Pembroke to a larger space, and also added childcare.  In 2011 the Quincy studio opened and in 2012 the Hingham studio, continuing to offer strictly barre classes.  In 2013 POUND Rockout. Workout. was discovered by the owner, and they began introducing the South Shore again to a new trendy workout. The Plymouth studio then opened in 2014.  Secret Physique clients love the music selection, attention to detail, and the upbeat energy of the staff.  Secret Physique loves their clientele and make sure they have an enjoyable and beneficial experience at each class.

Hingham closed in the fall of 2017, due to noise issues with the business neighbors, and a relocation is to be determined.

All of our instructors have been hand picked by the owner.  Each one of them began as a client, and once they became a stand out prodigy understanding the concepts, form, and growing a strong passion for barre and/or POUND, after at least 6 months to a year, they were asked to be a part of the team.
